Yayasan Jantung Indonesia (Indonesian Heart Foundation) will host a photography contest starting Sunday.
Titled Yayasan Jantung Indonesia Photography Awards 2018, the competition is one of a series of events organized by the organization to commemorate World Heart Day, which is commemorated worldwide on Sept. 29.
The organization said in a statement that the contest was open for both locals and foreigners aged 15 years and above. It specifically invited foreign visitors to the 2018 Asian Games to participate.
The photography contest is divided into two categories: DSLR/Mirrorless camera and smartphone device. Participants are asked to submit sport-themed photos, which might be shots of Asian Games matches or people doing sports in any other context.
A Rp 15 million (US$1,043) cash prize and a one-year membership at Gold’s Gym awaits the winner in the first category. Meanwhile, the winner in the smartphone category can bring home Rp 10 million in cash and a 6-month membership at the same gym.
Those keen to participate can register at www.inaheart.or.id for a registration fee of Rp 50,000 per person for one category.
Participants can submit a maximum of three photos until the end of September. Those who want to submit more than three photos will need to pay an additional fee of Rp 25,000.
In addition to the photography contest, Yayasan Jantung Indonesia will also host a talk show at 2018 Art Jakarta, which is slated to run from Aug. 2-5 at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place hotel in South Jakarta. (jes/kes)
