Stoned Alone will revolve around a 20-something stoner who misses his flight for a holiday ski trip. To make the best out of things, he spends his free time getting high and becomes paranoid that people are breaking into his house. Real thieves have actually broken in, and filled with paranoia and fully stoned, he tries to fend them off.
The film will be produced by Reynolds through Maximum Effort, his production banner at Fox. Maximum Effort’s George Dewey will also be the executive producer.
Released in 1990 and also developed by Fox, the original Home Alone film is a holiday classic and one of Fox’s highest grossing original comedies. (anm/kes)
