he 10th installment of Art Jakarta officially opened on Thursday at the Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place in South Jakarta.
The event, slated to run until Sunday, presents both local and international artworks and various activities, such as art workshops by Ganara Art Studio, an auction and special performances like Flying Balloon Puppet Show and Pasar Purnama by Sasikirana.
Among the exhibitors, visitors may find some familiar faces, including Blink Gallery from Hong Kong, Semarang Gallery, D Galerie, Zola Zolu Gallery and more.
However, among the plethora of paintings, Art Jakarta also showcases interesting pieces, such as accessories by Rinaldy Yunardi and a solo exhibition by Instagram artist Alexander Thian, popularly known as Amrazing, presented by Isa Art Advisory.

The former was supported by Sotheby's and features various works created by the prominent accessory designer.
Meanwhile, Alexander’s exhibition, themed "#LetMeTellYouAStory", presents photographs with a twist, piquing the audience’s curiosity.
In addition to those interesting exhibitions, 2018 Art Jakarta also presents Green House by Maggie Joan. Appearing as a pop-up restaurant, the concept is a result of collaboration between interior designer Kezia Karin, landscape designer Satya Putra and Viro, a company that produces eco-friendly faux material.
Kezia said during a media session that the interior used anyaman (woven) pieces made of materials produced by Viro, showing that anyaman can be a contemporary piece too.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Art Jakarta 2018 also presents "10 for 10", a conceptual museum-like exhibition featuring 10 art installations made by local prominent artists, such as Eddy Susanto and Kemalezedine. (kes)
