Themed "Beyond the Myths", the international contemporary art exhibition features 39 artists from various backgrounds, art disciplines as well as generations, such as I Made Wianta, Eko Nugroho, Entang Wiharso, Heri Dono and Mella Jaarsma, affording participants of the IMF-World Bank Meetings a glimpse into the country’s diverse contemporary arts.

“These artists were selected based on the artistic practices, workmanship and their contributions in triggering the dynamics of contemporary visual art in Indonesia and internationally,” Ignatia Nilu, one of the curators, said in a press release.
The exhibition presents various types of artwork, including installations, paintings, interactive works, video art and photography.
Art Bali CEO and founder Heri Pemad said, “Through Art Bali, we intend to demonstrate our commitment to building and developing the ecosystem of art and culture, particularly in Bali. As a new artistic space, the Art Bali exhibition aims to make art enjoyable for people from various backgrounds.” (jes/wng)
