Irish rock band Kodaline is set to perform for the first time in Indonesia on March 1, 2019.

The 2019 Politics of Living Tour will stop by Istora Senayan in South Jakarta for a concert, according to kompas.com.

Kodaline comprises vocalist Steve Garrigan, guitarist Mark Prendergast, bassist Jason Bolan and drummer Vincent May.

Bimo Nugroho, the founder of copromoter GUDLive, hopes the concert would unite audiences during the potentially divisive political year.

"This event aims to prove that Indonesia is a potential market for global concerts and despite the many political issues circulating, music can unite us all," Bimo said.

Tickets will be available online starting on Jan. 9, with presale prices ranging from Rp 600,000 (US$41) to Rp 1.15 million.

It was previously confirmed that English singer Ed Sheeran will also perform in Jakarta at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on May 3, 2019. (kes)
