Jonghyun’s posthumous album Poet | Artist ranked No. 1 on the Gaon album chart announced Thursday.
Poet | Artist fronted by the lead track “Shinin’” includes 11 tracks showcasing the late singer-songwriter’s own musical tonalities. The album was found complete after Jonghyun’s death, and was released as his last album in January.
It was praised by Billboard as well-made, and ranked second on its list of 20 K-pop albums of 2018 on Dec. 17.

In second place on the Gaon album chart was Voice, the first solo album of Jonghyun’s bandmate Onew, released before his military enlistment.
Dec. 18 marked the one-year anniversary of the death of SHINee’s lead vocalist.
