'Si Doel The Movie 2' gets Idul Fitri release date
After decades, Si Doel finally makes up his mind about whether it's Sarah or Zaenab.

he sequel to beloved soap opera Si Doel Anak Sekolahan movie spin-off, Si Doel The Movie 2, will be released on Idul Fitri as a holiday movie. The official trailer for the upcoming movie was released on Wednesday.
In the trailer, it is hinted that the love triangle between the leads, Doel, Sarah, and Zaenab remains.
“By the end of the movie, there will be [an answer about whom he chooses],” Rano Karno, who served as the movie’s director and main lead, told the press at his house in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com,

Actors from the previous movie and of the legendary series reprise their roles in the movie, portraying the familiar characters. Cornelia Agatha plays the lively and sophisticated Sarah, and Maudy Koesnaedi plays the humble and kind-hearted Zaenab. Suti Karno and Mandra return as Doel’s chatty relatives, Atun and Mandra.
Veteran actress Aminah Cendrakasih also has a role in the movie as the beloved Mak Nyak, Doel’s mother, despite her health conditions. Aminah revived her role while lying down in her bed to accommodate her glaucoma.
The principal photography for the movie commenced in December 2018. The movie was shot in Indonesia and the Netherlands. (gis/asw)
