Wiro Sableng won the Best Movie award at the Indonesian Box Office Movie Awards 2019.
ndonesian superhero movie “Wiro Sableng” won the Best Movie award at the Indonesian Box Office Movie Awards (IBOMA) 2019 held on April 5 at the Emtek Studio in West Jakarta.
The Indonesian Box Office Movie Awards is an annual movie award event that has been held since 2016 by local TV station SCTV, which is owned by Elang Mahkota Teknologi (EMTEK).
This year, notable actor Reza Rahadian sat on the judging panel, along with renowned names in the Indonesian film industry, including Hanung Bramantyo, Monty Tiwa, Sha Ine Febriyanti, Ayushita Nugraha, Prisia Nasution and Cesa David Luckmansyah.
According to Reza, naming the winners was quite a challenge for the judges. “All of us judges watched every movie and when we were debating, we avoided voting so it would show if a judge had not watched the movie in question,” he said to Tribunnews.com in March.
“The no-voting situation encouraged all of us to watch the movies, because when there is an argument, if we watched the movies, we would know what to base our argument on,” he added.
