T

he fifth installment of the Patek Philippe Art of Watches Grand Exhibition is slated to be held in the Marina Bay Sands Theater, Singapore, from Sept. 28 to Oct. 13.

First held in Dubai in 2012, the exhibition was designed to provide in-depth insights into the luxury watchmaker’s world and creations by “transporting” visitors to its historic salons on Rue du Rhone in Geneva, manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates and the Patek Philippe Museum through its selected collection.

Occupying 1,800 square meters, the exhibition is divided into 10 themed rooms that have their own distinct ambiance. Here, visitors can learn the ins and outs of Patek Philippe by watching a movie on the manufacture’s history and viewing its unique selection of intricate watches.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors can also see watchmakers and artisans demonstrate their skills live on site, giving them a closer look to horological artistry and the finesse mastered by specialist artisans, such as enamel painters.

The exhibition will also feature a special room themed Singapore 200th Anniversary, which displays selected timepieces and milestones of Patek Philippe’s history together with key milestones of Singapore’s rich history.

Open for public, the Patek Philippe Art of Watches Grand Exhibition is a free-entry event. (jes/wng)
