Contemporary art exhibition Art Moments Jakarta will showcase various exemplary artwork, photography, video art, sculptures and special installations from more than 35 local and international galleries.
Art Moments Jakarta founder and curator Leo Silitonga said the exhibition was expected to create a new destination for the international art fair circuit that would offer networking opportunities for local galleries, artists and collectors.
“The art scene in Indonesia is expanding rapidly, and has been receiving growing interest globally. Art Moments Jakarta has been created as a platform to support this interest, as well as to encourage the growth of art appreciation and collection in Indonesia,” Leo said in a statement.
He went on to say that the exhibition looked to attract more than 30,000 new and established collectors, curators, art professionals and members of the public.
In addition to local exhibitors such as the Jakarta-based Ruru Gallery and Bandung-based Luwungwangi Gallery; international curators such as Phillips Auctioneers, Singapore-based Art Agenda and Vietnam-based Asiahues are also set to showcase their artwork at the exhibition.
Art Moments Jakarta will run from May 3 to 5 at Sheraton Grand Jakarta, Gandaria City mall in South Jakarta.
Entrance to the exhibition is priced at Rp 40,000 (US$2.82) for a daily pass, and Rp 50,000 for a two-day pass. Alternatively, visitors can also opt for an unlimited VIP pass, which costs Rp 500,000. (rfa/kes)
