Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival to boast Flume, Grace Carter in first line-up

This year’s Sunny Side Up will take place at Manarai Beach House in Nusa Dua, Bali, with Australian DJ Flume and British singer Grace Carter headlining the festival.

The long-awaited Sunny Side Up Festival will return to Bali on Aug. 24.

Unlike its usual spot at Potato Head Beach Club, this year’s Sunny Side Up will take place at Manarai Beach House in Nusa Dua, Bali.

“We are happy to announce the return of the Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival in its new home, Manarai Beach House,” Sarah Deshita, brand manager of festival organizer Ismaya Live, said in a press release on Monday

Since its opening last year, Manarai Beach House has hosted world-class concerts for musicians such as A$AP Rocky and Elrow’s touring party.”

According to the release, Australian DJ Flume and British singer Grace Carter will headline the festival. Flume won a Grammy Award in 2017 for Best Dance/Electronic Album with Skin. His performance at the festival will be his first show in Indonesia.

Grace Carter released her first single “Silence” in 2017 and since then has toured with Dua Lipa in Europe. She won third place in BBC Music’s “Sound of 2019”, which was curated by the best of Britain’s music industry.

“There will be more names announced in the next few months,” Sarah said.

She added that festival goers can pre-register to receive updates from the festival's official websites, http://flu.me/asia and www.sunnysideupfest.com.

Previously, the Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival featured international acts such as Disclosure, Phoenix, Kimbra, Ellie Goulding and Jessie Ware. (gis/wng)
