Iko Uwais fights with ‘Avengers’ actor Dave Bautista in ‘Stuber’

Iko Uwais, who plays the lead villain in Stuber, said he had fun working on the film, which stars comedian Kumail Nanjani and Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista.

ndonesian martial arts star Iko Uwais has continued to climb the Hollywood ranks, this time sporting blonde hair and fighting alongside Avengers actor Dave Bautista in action-comedy movie Stuber.

According to the official Twitter account of 20th Century Fox Indonesia, Bautista plays a policeman named Vic who hunts down a criminal (Iko Uwais) by riding in an Uber car driven by Stu (Kumail Nanjani), who wants to keep his five-star rating. 

Iko wrote on his Instagram account that he “had fun" working on the project and expressed hope that the audience would also enjoy it.

Helmed by Michael Dowse, Stuber also features actors Karen Gillan, Betty Gilpin and Natalie Morales. The film’s trailer was released in April, while the red-band version of the trailer, which is more suitable for mature audiences, was put out on Friday.

Stuber is scheduled to hit the theaters on July 12. (wir/mut)
