Nine buildings in Depok are to be studied and proposed for recommendation this year.
The Depok administration plans to name several buildings in its 11 districts as part of the city's cultural heritage.
The head of the Depok Heritage Community, Ratu Farah Diba, said nine buildings are to be studied and proposed for recommendation this year.
“The ones we study and recommend have been listed in the National Registry of Cultural Heritage and Museum Preservation Directorate of the Education and Culture Ministry,” Farah said as quoted by tempo.co on Monday.

The nine buildings are Pondok Cina House, the Cornelis Chastelein Foundation building, Immanuel Church, Harapan Hospital Depok, the President's House in Depok, Vicar House, Pancoran Mas 2 Elementary School, the Post Office on Jl. Kartini and the Electric Train Depot owned by state-owned railway company PT KAI.
Previously, Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris had named Rumah Cimanggis as part of the cultural heritage of the city based on Decree No. 593/2018 on Sept. 24, 2018.
Farah said the team of experts had set the end of 2019 as the deadline to finish studying the nine buildings. (gis/kes)
