nnual international contemporary art festival ARTJOG MMXIX, previously known as ARTJOG 2019, is scheduled to return this year from July 25 to Aug. 25 at Jogja National Museum in Yogyakarta.

The curatorial theme for this year's festival is common|spaces, meaning that the exhibited works of art will explore the concept of shared rooms. The theme also symbolizes the festival's shared space where people can gain knowledge from each other.

Nearly 40 artists and art collectives are set to take part in the festival, hailing from both Indonesia and abroad, including Austria, Australia, the Philippines and Singapore. Five multidisciplinary artists, namely Handiwirman Saputra, Riri Riza, Sunaryo, Teguh Ostenrik and Piramida Gerilya (a collaboration project between duo Indieguerillas and award-winning product designer Singgih S. Kartono), will showcase their works in a special project.

Visitors are welcome to pop in at any hour between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. with the admissions fee starting at Rp 50,000 (US$3.58) for adults and Rp 25,000 for children between 3 and 12 years old. (wir/mut)
