Whether you’re looking for a mood-lifting Blood Mary or Negroni or wanting to spoil your palate (and stomach) with spicy, carb-loaded dishes, here’s a list of must-try weekend brunch destinations.
Sriwijaya Saturday brunch
Newly transformed from a fine dining establishment to a more casual eatery, the Dharmawangsa Jakarta’s Sriwijaya restaurant now offers brunch on Saturdays. The restaurant now focuses on nouvelle cuisine, emphasizing freshness, lightness and clarity of flavor. Sriwijaya, therefore, translates its new direction through such dishes as NZ mussel fritters served with vegetables and chili aioli, lobster platter, United States Porterhouse steak and Japanese rib eye wagyu. These dishes are served a la carte, but diners can also indulge in selections of cheese, bread, cold cuts, salads and desserts from the buffet.
Hakkasan dim sum weekends
Dim sum may be synonymous with weekends for some. Aware of this notion, Hakkasan Jakarta offers dim sum weekends comprising two menus, namely Qilin and Jasmine. Qilin includes an array of dim sum, from xiao long bao (steamed bun) with truffle and baked beef puff to pan-fried carrot cakes. Meanwhile, the vegetarian-friendly Jasmine includes morel crystal dumpling, Sichuan mapo dumpling and tofu, eggplant and mushroom clay pot with chili and black bean sauce. The two desserts to choose from, raspberry snow bun and es teler (fruit cocktail), are not to be missed.
Asia Restaurant Lego Sunday brunch
All-day dining restaurant Asia at Ritz Carlton Jakarta Mega Kuningan offers Lego Sunday brunch, allowing very young diners to have fun at a Lego play area after enjoying their meal from the children’s buffet. However, the thematic Sunday brunch is also busy with diners of various ages flocking to the “As You Wish” teppanyaki station or refilling their plates with pizza, sandwich, sushi and sashimi and roast beef. Prior to the Lego Sunday brunch offer, Asia hosted Superhero Sunday brunch, and if the Lego period comes to an end, another exciting theme will take its place.

Yoshi Izakaya all-you-can-eat weekend shabu-shabu
Gran Melia Jakarta’s Yoshi Izakaya could be your hideaway shabu-shabu destination on Saturdays. Expect to indulge in high quality, thinly sliced beef, as well as a selection of seafood, fresh vegetables and mushrooms. If you like the process of cooking the ingredients in simmering soup, this is a dining experience for you. However, if you prefer Sunday brunch, the hotel has Jazzylicious Sunday at Café Gran Via, featuring a jazz band that plays classic favorites and top-40 songs with jazz arrangements.
Cork&Screw Country Club’s Brunch on the Lawn
Still one of the most sought-after dining destinations in Jakarta, Cork&Screw Country Club offers Brunch on the Lawn on weekends. With executive chef Fernando Sindu at its helm, this restaurant overlooking a swimming pool and golf course offers such dishes as brunch vol-au-vent (filled puff pastry), country club nasi campur (rice with a variety of side dishes) and steak sandwiches.
TWG Tea weekend brunch
True to its identity as a tea salon and boutique, the TWG outlet at Pacific Place Jakarta serves brunch integrated with various teas. Among the highlighted dishes are beef wellington with mashed potato infused with Red of Africa tea, Lobster Thermidor with spaghetti puttanesca sprinkled with Genmaicha and chicken with houjicha-infused mushroom fricassee.
