K-pop group BTS has earned US$117 million during its Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour, as reported by Billboard.
The tour sold 976,283 tickets and consisted of 20 performances across South and North America, Europe, Japan, Saudi Arabia and the band’s hometown of South Korea.
Each concert was attended by an average of 48,814 people and was worth US$5.8 million.

BTS’s world tour spanned six months and was held in stadiums.
As of Nov. 16, the group ranks third behind The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift and the Spice Girls, which earned higher average grosses in stadiums, according to the Billboard chart year.
However, all three performers held fewer shows within six months, as opposed to BTS, which held 20.
The K-pop sensation is estimated to earn as much as 200 billion won (US$171.4), when totaled with earnings through merchandise and live-streaming services. (vel/wng)
