ubbed the Asian Coachella, the sale of tickets for entertainment company 88rising’s Head in The Clouds Music & Arts Festival began on Thursday with the first phase artists announced including Rich Brian, Joji, NIKI, Higher Brothers and AUGUST 08. 

The festival, celebrating Asian talents across music, art, design and fashion, is to be held on March 7 at the JIExpo Center in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

The venue is to feature two stages alongside numerous outdoor and indoor art and design activations, merchandise collaborations and vendors.

“Head In The Clouds has already made history in North America and we're thrilled to bring the festival to Jakarta for our first expansion. We have a lot of love for our Indonesian fans and can't wait to spend the best day of the year with them,” said Sean Miyashiro, CEO of 88rising, an entertainment company with more than 3.8 million YouTube subscribers.

Los Angeles’ Head in The Clouds Festival in August attracted more than 20,000 attendees, according to a statement.

Pre-sale 1 tickets have sold out within just a few hours on Thursday. Pre-sale 2 is to begin on Dec. 2, with prices starting at Rp 1,188,000 (US$84.34), available through HITCindonesia.com. (vel/kes)
