ven as Instagram is slowly rolling out the removal of the “like” counter from users' posts, esthetics still reign supreme in Jakarta, where Insta-worthy locales are some of the most sought-after haunts in town.
It is a no-brainer, really, that purpose-built venues offering attractive installations and lighting for Instagram pictures have cropped up in large numbers over the past few months.
While interior decor in stores and cafés might offer a spot for snapshots, one venue is offering multiple installations for you to take the perfect shot, helped by claimed Hollywood-style technology to sweeten the deal.
Enter the POZE x Mario Photographie installation exhibition.
Running until Feb. 15, the self-described “selfie museum” is located in NEO SOHO mall in West Jakarta, offering five installations to enjoy and strike a pose at.
Project director Marvin Julian said POZE was a response to the increasing popularity of Instagram-driven tourist sites around the country, though he was quick to differentiate it from other sites.
