A hologram projection will be utilized at the Ambyar Tak Jogeti concert to present the late Didi Kempot on the stage.
he late singer Didi Kempot will be featured at the Ambyar Tak Jogeti (Dance Your Broken Hearts Away) concert on Nov. 14 at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium.
Dian Eka Yanto, head of promoter Garindo Media Tama, said a 1:1 hologram projection would represent the maestro of campur sari (a blend of traditional Javanese and modern music) on the stage.
The concert was initially to be held on July 10 to commemorate Didi’s 30th anniversary in the music industry, but it was postponed to Nov. 14 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Didi’s passing in early May had raised questions among his fans as to whether the concert would take place.
In the concert, several singers will pay tribute to Didi Kempot, Dian told kompas.com. They are Arda, DK Voice and Musik Lare Jawi.

Dian said the concert would not be canceled, as it was the wish of the late singer. “He hoped that his songs could be performed at GBK,” he said.
Dian added that the ticket prices would start from Rp 100,000 (US$6.72), as originally planned.
Didi Kempot passed away on May 5 in Surakarta, Central Java. He was often referred to as the “godfather of broken hearts” for performing songs that are relatable to his fans’ sad love stories.

He became known in the Indonesian diaspora in Suriname and the Netherlands in the 1990s and gained national fame with his long-lasting hit "Stasiun Balapan" in 1999.
