NICEF is set to organize a live-streamed concert featuring popular Asian musicians, public figures and YouTube creators, titled One Love Asia.

The event aims to raise funds to help Asian children impacted by poverty, natural disasters, exploitation, discrimination and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indonesian artists who have confirmed their involvement include Inul Daratista, Boy William, Baim Wong and Raditya Dika.

K-pop stars Siwon from Super Junior, Eunji APINK and CIX are also set to perform.

Karen Mok and G.E.M from China, Akira EXILE, AKB48 and Ballistik Boyz from Japan, as well as Ranz & Niana and Christian Bautista from the Philippines will also contribute.

The four-hour concert is slated for May 27 at 8 p.m. Hong Kong time, or 7 p.m. West Indonesia Time (WIB).

“UNICEF is thrilled to be part of the ONE LOVE ASIA concert. Together we will create greater awareness of UNICEF’s work for children and families, so they will be able to recover, rebound and reimagine a stronger future,” UNICEF regional director for East Asia and Pacific Karin Hulshof said in a statement.

The live-streamed concert will be available through www.youtube.com/c/oneloveasia. Donations can be made through YouTube's Donate Now button.

Funds raised will directly go to UNICEF’s account during the event and the Donate Now button will still be available for 30 days after the concert. (gis/kes)
