Spotify has announced nine new Indonesian podcasts as the latest additions to its exclusive line up.

The new podcasts are BKR Brothers, Makna Talks, Destanya Siapa?, Podcast DariTaDi Yu Ya Yukk, Podcast Malam Kliwon, Rintik Sedu, Teman Tidur, Kinosgina and Thirty Days of Lunch.

Two of the podcasts come from popular creators Desta Mahendra and Nadhifa Allya Tsana.

“The podcast space in Indonesia is arguably one of the most exciting in the world today and the number of people discovering and listening to podcasts here continues to grow,” said Carl Zuzarte, Spotify’s head of studios for Southeast Asia, in a statement.

Zuzarte said podcasts were unique in the way that they made listeners part of the chat, an experience that is craved especially during social distancing.

“This is reflected in podcast consumption trends in Indonesia, which have grown in the last few months,” he said.
