ideo-on-demand platform GoPlay is now equipped with Chromecast and AirPlay features in a bid to enhance users' viewing experience.
Launched by Google, Chromecast is a device that plugs into television screens to stream content using a wireless connection and with the control of a smartphone or tablet. Meanwhile, Apple’s AirPlay allows users to stream content from their Apple devices to their television.
To be able to use these features, GoPlay users are required to update their app to the latest version, or the minimum version of 1.11.1, as well as utilize a compatible television unit.
“[The features] are part of our innovations to provide more viewing options for our users, [allowing them to] watch GoPlay on television screens with their families,” the company's vice president of marketing, Sasha Sunu, said in a statement.
Launched in September last year, GoPlay is part of ride-hailing app Gojek. The platform is currently holding the Films and Online Series Festival until June 30, in which users can watch various award-winning and popular local films. (wir/kes)
