hree start-up companies from Indonesia, namely Hacktiv8, Kata.ai and Riliv, have been chosen to join Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia this year, a three-month online accelerator program for high potential seed to series A tech startups who are solving for the region's challenges.
They will join 12 other start-ups that were chosen from 600 companies proposed from the region.
As reported by tempo.co, the start-ups will be given challenges in the social, economic and health sectors. In the next months, the start-ups will be given technical and business guidance to achieve their best.
The program will also connect them with teams from Google and other tech industry players, as well as getting involved in workshops with a focus on product design, customer service and leadership development for founders.

The three Indonesian start-ups operate with various expertise. Hacktiv8 focuses on training young developers, supporting them in job searching and providing student loans.
Kata.ai develops artificial intelligence that enables seamless communication between business players and customers, while Riliv is an online counseling and meditation application to help people with their mental health.
Past alumni of the program from Indonesia include lunch catering firm Kulina, Muslim fashion e-commerce business Hijup and complaint handling app Qlue. (gis/wng)
