Kojib, the mascot of the tax office’s sunset policy program, waves at passersby on Jl. Matraman, East Jakarta, on Wednesday. Under the policy, the Directorate General of Taxation exempts taxpayers from administration penalties if they agree to report their outstanding taxes before the end of this year or they will face stiffer penalties next year.
