AKARTA: The South Jakarta municipality will equip the newly revamped Ayodya Park in Kebayoran Baru with a hotspot for wireless Internet connection, as part of its efforts to lure expatriates and other residents in the neighborhood to the park.
South Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries office head Heru Bambang Ermanto said his office had discussed the planned hotspot with several private companies.
"The final say is with the city's *parks and cemeteries* agency. But I know that there have been discussions with private companies over the hotspot project," he said as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
The municipality said earlier it planned to develop the park as a recreational area for expatriates living in the neighborhood. An estimated 2,000 estimates currently live in South Jakarta.
