ENPASAR: Bali police has named two officials at the provincial transportation, information and communication office as suspects in a corruption case.

The two officials, identified as O. D. and P. S., were charged with allegedly marking up the value of the traffic sign project in the city.

The police said the supreme audit agency's office in Bali found funding irregularities in the project, which was initially estimated at Rp 1.2 billion, but is now valued at Rp 2.1 billion.

The police also questioned a contractor of the project identified as E. S., who won the project bid.
