AKARTA: In advance of US President Barack Obama's visit to Indonesia, the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) launched the US-Indonesia Geothermal Development Initiative during director Leocadia I. Zak's visit to Jakarta.

Zak concluded two grant agreements to support the private-sector geothermal development in West Java and Halmahera in Maluku province.
