AKARTA: State prosecutors have charged Baekuni, 48, aka Babe, for murdering four street children, despite the defendant earlier confessing to police that he had killed 14.
In the first hearing at East Jakarta District Court, state prosecutor Trimo said Baekuni had been charged for homicide and premeditated murder of four children between 1993 and 2010.
Baekuni made the headlines after his shocking confession that he had killed, sodomized and mutilated his victims, mostly boys between 10 and 12 years old, following his arrest on Jan. 8. — JP
