he Jakarta administration and City Council are slated to hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss progress in the deliberation of the anticipated spatial planning draft bylaw.
Governor Fauzi Bowo said Monday that his administration has done its part in the drafting the bylaw by submitting its version of the bylaw to the City Council.
Fauzi also criticized the council for its sluggish pace of work in deliberating the draft bylaw.
“I don’t know what the council will discuss in the meeting. There should be no more problem about this,” Fauzi told reporters at the City Hall.
The City Council has repeatedly delayed endorsing the 2010-2030 spatial planning bill, which was supposed to be approved last year.
The bill gives an outline on how the capital should be developed in the next 20 years. — JP
