AKARTA: Actress Julia Perez broke the fast on Tuesday with orphans and non-Muslims at the home of Islam Defender’s Front (FPI) Jakarta head Habib Salim Alatas.
The non-Muslims in the crowd included several employees of the RB Situmeang & Partners law firm as well as Jupe’s boyfriend Gaston Castano.
Julia, popularly known as Jupe, said the event reflected religious tolerance.
“The closeness is what unites us … because we have the same vision and mission to share with the orphans, we decided to get together and so this event was held,” she said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
