In Depok, businesses must build sidewalks

T

he Depok administration requires all business centers along Jl. Margonda to provide sidewalks and proper parking spaces as part of its road expansion.

“Jl. Margonda has not been completed with sidewalks and proper parking spaces. After the road expansion project, we will make firm regulation on it,” head of infrastructure division at Depok Bina Marga and Water Resources Agency, Roni Ghufroni, said as quoted by kompas.com.

He said that the shop-houses located along Jl. Margonda would have to provide at least 10 meters of empty space for parking lots. Jl. Magonda will be expanded to 32 meters wide, consisting eight lanes.

The expansion is expected to finish in December. The 1.3 kilometer road expansion starts from Jl. Dewi Sartika through Jl. Arif Rahman Hakim.
