ndonesian men's doubles shuttlers Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan defeated the Chinese duo of Chai Biao and Hong Wei 22-20, 21-16 to win the 2013 Yonex Japan Open Superseries on Sunday.
In the first game, after taking a 15-11 lead, the Indonesians lost five straight points before collecting themselves and securing the game 22-20, kompas.com reported.
In the second set, Ahsan and Hendra showed greater consistency and easily dispatched the flagging Chinese pair 21-16.
Ahsan and Hendra were the only Indonesians to even make it to the final round of the Japan Open. They had previously won the Indonesia Open, Singapore Open and World Championships.
