Guess what?: Dwiki celebrates 30 years in music with new album

P.J.Leo

JAKARTA: Prominent musician Dwiki Dharmawan is releasing a new album featuring collaboration with younger musicians to celebrate three decades of his career in the music world.

The album, Collaborating Harmony, contains 12 of his hit songs from the 1980s until the present day. For the album, Dwiki worked with other musicians including Alex Rudiyat, Shena Malsiana and Dalagita of X-Factor Indonesia and Mikha Angelo and The Overtunes.

'€œInitially, I proposed 30 songs for the album. My label Sony Music shrunk the list to 20,'€ the 47-year-old said as quoted by tempo.co.

From the list of 20, the label reduced it again to nine old songs and three new songs, namely,  '€œLamalera'€™s Dream'€, '€œWe Are Many We Are One'€ and '€œKerinduanku'€ (My Longing).

The album will reflect Dwiki'€™s jazz, rock and fusion jazz combined with traditional Indonesian music.
