Girl band Cherrybelle has announced its newest member, Novi Herlina, who was selected through rigorous auditions to replace Anisa Rahma, who left the group last year.

'I'm surprised that I got accepted as a new member,' Novi said as quoted by kompas.com.

The 19-year-old Novi will complete Cherrybelle as a nine-piece girl band with Cherly Yuliana Anggraini, Margareth Angelina, Christy Saura Noela Unu, Yefani Filliang, Jessyca Stefani Auryn, Kezia Karamoy, Stefanny Margaretha Aay, Brigitta Cynthia, all of whom are between 20 and 23 years of age.

Cherrybelle, also known by its short handle Chibi, was formed in 2011 riding-in on the K-Pop wave that hit Indonesian shores.
