'€œThis is a place where the government and the public can sit together and discuss possible improvements needed in public services,'€ Tara Hidayat of the Presidential Working Unit for Supervision and Management of Development (UKP4) said on Thursday.

UKP4 was appointed to facilitate government and public dialogue to address public service development. For that purpose, UKP4 launched LAPOR, a website for the public to file reports and suggestions on improvements.

Tara said LAPOR aimed to build transparency and good governance, as through this application people could air their grievances.(idb/dic)
