upang Mayor Jonas Salean said on Thursday that the sister city cooperation between Kupang and Palmerston, Northern Territory, Australia, which was set up a decade ago, would continue.
'We will carry out a joint activity in August to revitalize the sister city cooperation,' Jonas said as quoted by Antara.
He said the cooperation started when the capital city of East Nusa Tenggara took part in an expo in Palmerston in the 1990s.
Jonas said the then Kupang mayor, the late SK Lerik, signed the cooperation agreement on June 29, 1996 while visiting Palmerston.
