The General Elections Commission (KPU), which was finalizing the vote count for the electoral district on Wednesday evening, said Golkar had only secured one House seat, namely for Adies Kadir, kompas.com reported on Thursday.
In total, Golkar won 133,644 votes in the final tally, with Adies Kadir receiving 30,093 votes, while Priyo, who currently serves as one the House's deputy speakers, only won 24,376 votes.
In the electoral district, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) won three seats with a total of 497,347 votes, followed by the National Awakening Party (PKB) with two seats (385,629 votes). The Gerindra Party, the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Party, and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) each obtained one seat, after respectively winning 250,459 votes, 196,645 votes, 186,270 votes and 102,720 votes.
