Guess what?: Reza to show sand painting skills in latest film

JP/Jerry Adiguna

JAKARTA: Actor Reza Rahadian will soon release his new movie, titled Ketika Tuhan Jatuh Cinta (When God Falls in Love), where he will play Fikri, a sand painter.

To prepare for the role, Reza learned directly from the real Fikri about his craft.

'€œI want to convince the viewers, so I tried to do sand painting myself. Every work in the movie is made by me,'€ he said as quoted by kompas.com.

Named best actor by Film Festival Indonesia in 2013, Reza said he actually liked painting but it was his first time trying sand painting.

'€œI did the painting spontaneously, turning messy sand into something beautiful on camera,'€ he said.

The movie will also star Dewi Irawan and Joshua Pandelaki.
