he Jakarta Police are continuing to investigate an alleged case of sexual abuse at HighScope Indonesia school in South Jakarta.
Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul said investigators had interviewed three witnesses and would summon the school management soon.
'The school [management] will be investigated too,' he said on Friday as quoted by tempo.co.
The police have also requested footage from the CCTV camera installed near the toilet that has been reported as the location of the alleged assault.
'We've requested the footage from six days before and after the alleged incident,' Martinus said.
A mother of a student at the school filed a police report in March, claiming that her 7-year-old boy had been sexually abused while at school.
HighScope Indonesia has denied the allegation, but says the school will cooperate with the investigation. 'We will continue to cooperate in this case,' Fauzi Jurnalis, the school's lawyer said.
The school stated that it had facilitated the alleged victim by accompanying the mother when she took her son for a medical examination at Siloam Hospital on Jl. TB Simatupang in South Jakarta. They also showed the surveillance videos to the mother.
