ento Momota apparently does not only live a life as an athlete but also as a staff member at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT).

Team coach Keita Masuda said that the 2012 world junior champion was able to maintain balance between working and playing.

'€œMomota is a member of a badminton club managed by the company [NTT] he works for, but he is also part of the national team. If there'€™s a big tournament coming up, he will intensify his training with the national team a week ahead,'€ Masuda said.

He usually works for half a day and spends the rest of the day doing his regular training. '€œOnly when we have a tournament he requests leave, usually for a week.'€
