The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named on Friday evening state port operator Pelindo II president director Richard Joost (RJ) Lino a suspect in a corruption case related to the procurement of three quay container cranes (QCC) in 2010.
KPK spokeswoman Yuyuk Andriati said the antigraft body had found two preliminary pieces of evidence that pointed toward Lino's alleged involvement in the graft case.
[KPK] names RJL [RJ Lino] a suspect," Yuyuk said during a press conference at the KPK headquarters on Friday evening.
Lino is alleged to have misused his authority to enrich himself in the procurement of three QCCs from China in 2010.
He stands of accused of violating articles 2 and 3 of Law No. 31/1999 on corruption and Article 55 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
Yuyuk said the antigraft body had yet to determine the project's value as the KPK was still investigating the case.
