nindya Kusuma Putri has unfinished business in her hometown of Semarang, Central Java.
'I haven't completed my thesis,' she was quoted by tribunnews.com as saying on Thursday.
Anindya, a senior student at the University of Diponegoro, is majoring in regional and city spatial planning at the School of Engineering.
The 23-year-old was in the middle of working on her graduate thesis as she took part in the Miss Indonesia pageant last year.
As the pageant winner, Anindya represented the country at Miss Universe 2015 in Las Vegas, the US, in December.
'Many of my friends have graduated,' she said.
'I want to finish what I left behind.'
