t least 13 state prosecutors have prepared their indictment for a blasphemy case implicating non-active Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama. The first trial hearing is scheduled for Thursday, an official has said.

"The [first] hearing of the trial is scheduled for Thursday, where we will read the seven-page indictment [against Ahok]," said one of the prosecutors who requested to remain anonymous, as quoted by tempo.co

Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson Waluyo said he could not confirm the hearing’s schedule.

"Our office has only asked to give support to the prosecutors from the Attorney General’s Office (AGO)," Waluyo said Sunday.

The AGO submitted Ahok's case dossier to the North Jakarta District Court last Thursday along with 51 pieces of evidence.

Ahok was charged for allegedly violating articles 156 and 156a of the Criminal Code on blasphemy. Ahok was named a suspect by the National Police on Nov. 16 for a controversial remark he made during a working visit to Thousand Islands regency on Sept. 27. (dmr)
