fter being on the run for four days, five suspects in the murder of businessman Indra Gunawan, aka Kuna, were arrested on Sunday by detectives from the Medan Police and North Sumatra Police. Two of the suspects were shot dead after reportedly resisting arrest.
Medan Police chief Sr. Comr. Sandi Nugroho said the suspects were arrested in different locations.
“The suspects who were shot dead, [identified with the initials] RA and PU, were the ones who ordered the shooting [of Indra],” Sandi told reporters at Bhayangkara Police Hospital in North Sumatra’s provincial capital of Medan.
The other three suspects were arrested in Tebing Tinggi and Medan.
According to Sandi, another suspect identified as HE drove a motorcycle that carried the perpetrator of the shooting at the Kuna Air Rifle and Air Soft Gun shop in Medan, which was owned by the victim.
Sandi said the police were still probing the motive behind the murder.
Indra, 45, was shot in the morning of Jan. 18.

“The victim was shot in the chest by someone wearing a helmet,” he told The Jakarta Post.
