inger Bunga Citra Lestari is to give her all for her first solo concert “It’s Me, BCL” to be held on Wednesday at the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Central Jakarta.

A tribute to her long career as a singer and film actress, Bunga, better known by her acronym BCL, had taken vocal training under Otti Jamalus.

“The team, especially music director Andi Rianto, suggested Otti Jamalus as the trainer. I have discussed it with my management and sound engineering manager, even my seniors in music industry recommended her,” she said in a press release made available to The Jakarta Post.

The training, Bunga said, improved her singing power as it focused on breathing exercises. “I used to experience some pressure on the neck while singing, now it’s gone. Usually, after five songs I would easily lose breath but now I can [sing] for a longer time.”

In the concert, she will perform all of her hit songs for two hours — some in collaboration with other musicians and fellow actors.

Otti said through the training Bunga had learned techniques to deal with her weaknesses while onstage.
