View all search resultsifferent from his routine of using an official car to get to his office at City Hall in Central Jakarta, Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat took a cab on Friday morning to reach his workplace.
Wearing a white baju koko (long-sleeved collarless shirt), Djarot arrived at City Hall at around 8:30 a.m. accompanied by an aide.
“It is interesting to take a cab, since I can talk with the driver and discuss many things,” said Djarot, who celebrated his 55th birthday on Thursday.
Djarot said the taxi driver told him that he hailed from Central Java and was married to a native Jakartan. The couple lives in a rented house.
This is not the first time the governor has taken a taxi. He took a taxi to City Hall on June 2. (dmr)
