Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat is scheduled to visit Moscow, Russia, on Aug. 3 to 7.

During the trip, Djarot is expected to meet with Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin to work on extending a sister city agreement between Jakarta and Moscow.

"Jakarta is one of Moscow's sister cities. The agreement ended last year. Hence, the governor will sign a memorandum of understanding with the mayor there," said Jakarta Gubernatorial and Foreign Affairs (KDH-KLN) bureau head Mawardi on Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com.

In addition to that, he said, Djarot will also attend the Indonesian culinary and cultural festival held by the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow. (agn)
