akarta governor-elect Anies Baswedan and his deputy, Sandiaga Uno, attended their uniform fitting on Thursday morning in South Jakarta and invited the press to document the occasion.

The two were fitted for their white ceremonial uniforms, followed by an official photo session for City Hall records.

Anies said his uniform and shoes fit well.

"I feel normal [in this uniform], but it's the first time I've worn an all-white suit, shirt and shoes from head to toe," Anies said after the photo session in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Sandiaga also seemed happy with his new uniform. He even made playful poses during the photo session.

"I never imagined I'd ever wear a uniform again. The last time I wore a uniform was in high school," Sandiaga said.

The gubernatorial inauguration is planned to be held at 4 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the State Palace.

After the inauguration, Anies and Sandiaga are to attend a handover ceremony in City Hall and hold their first City Council plenary meeting.

Later that evening at 9 p.m., the pair will greet members of the public at City Hall in a syukuran (gathering to express gratitude to God).
