Aditya Very Cleverina is gifted with many talents. The recent graduate in international relations from Sebelas Maret University in Surakarta, Central Java, has now embraced the working life at the immigration division of the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.
During her time at university, Very, her short name, was active in public speaking activities such as the English Debating Society and Model United Nation (MUN). Her natural aptitude in public speaking allowed her to rise to a leadership position in the youth organization AIESEC UNS 2015, participate as an Indonesian delegate for the Model United Nations in Rome (RomeMUN 2017) and become the Debate Champion of the Djarum Foundation competition.
Very said her achievements were still short of her professional goals.
“I’m still young, I want to keep learning and get more experience while looking for the most suitable job for myself” she said.
Reading books, she said, is one way to learn about new experiences, especially those she had never encountered before.
Her favorite childhood book is on Greek mythology. Very said she read the book repeatedly until it was worn out.
“Reading books always opens new experiences for me. It expands my knowledge and helps me understand life inside and outside my comfort zone” she said.
Tuesdays With Morries
by Mitch Albom
I read this book in 2016. It taught me valuable lessons in life from a character that is old and dying. One of the lessons is that we all should embrace life.
The Five People You Meet In Heaven
by Mitch Albom
I admire the way Mitch described the story with the words he selected. This book taught me that whatever we do in life we have crossed one another’s path, so always be kind.
Chicken Soup For The Soul
by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen
Every person has his or her own story that inspires me to be more grateful for what I have. After reading this book I feel more grateful and always try to be kind to others because I am not aware of their struggle.
Adultery
by Paulo Coelho
This book is written by my favorite author. The story is about a journalist who has a good life and a loving husband but she felt trapped in her routine. She tries to have an affair to feel something new. It teaches us to be grateful for what we have. There has always been enough for us.
