he Jakarta administration has set up a service post at SMKN 1 vocational high school in Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, to receive complaints from parents whose children are facing difficulties in registering online for the new academic year, from elementary to senior high schools.

The post is open from May 28 to June 16.

“The post is prepared to offer a solution to those who face administrative problems during registration,” said Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, as quoted by beritajakarta.id.

The governor said that he expected a broad awareness campaign to be carried out, so parents would know where to go when they faced admission problems.

The latest Culture and Education Ministry decree encourages students to register at schools in their area of residence to eliminate the "favorite school" reputation that has pooled high-performing students at only a few schools in an area, leaving many seats empty at other schools. (fac/wit)
